No Limitations

Lately I have been feeling limited in many aspects of my work – the small studio space, shelves…not having my finished work on display close to my working space… slowly noticing that these feelings limit my work!
Today I worked on three high bottles I desired to make, although they were way down on the bottom of my list, determined to fulfill myself without thoughts of limitation, enjoying every moment.
It didn’t really matter later that I found out they are too high to fit in my kiln!!!
I'm ending my day happy, allowing myself small freedoms of expression.

'Spinning Your Dreams'

painting by Mellisa Harris

Independence Day 2011

Today we are celebrating the independence of our country. I am doing this with many feelings of gratitude.
I also find my self contemplating my personal independence as an individual, a potter, a wife and a women.am I truly independent?

These days I find my self juggling with many aspects of my life, trying to find my balance, asking myself Where and how can I find it? how can I carry on fulfilling my love of clay and creation and still manage to provide.
How do I balance between my will to create pots and the will to create life in me and my family? How do I live with the energies of many aspirations and yet stay healthy, happy and in well being?

how do I spin my wheel, my will, my life…

Wedding Day

A few weeks ago Meir and I got Married in our home garden. It was a beautiful and blessed day.
I am slowly getting back to work and hopefully posting more frequently…
Some pictures below including vases I made for the occasion (the hanging bottels are from the dead see)
